Support + guidance

You care.
Make the help clear.

Your child comes home from training. You ask what they learned, and the answer is “I don’t remember.” You want to practice together, but you’re unsure what to work on or how to help without creating pressure.

Support gives your child encouragement and a safe place to learn. Guidance helps them understand a challenge and find their next step. Both matter. Learn Together helps you recognize what is needed in the moment.

With Coach Mulenga Kapungulya, learn to recognize progress in decisions, technique, confidence, and ownership—not only the score.

Two ways to learn

Share the experience.

No parent soccer experience required. Physical participation is optional; active learning is part of both options.

Participate

Train alongside your child.

Experience selected activities together. Feel the details behind the movement, the touch, and the decision. Learn one useful cue at a time.

Observe

Watch with purpose.

Know what to look for, take notes, and ask detailed questions during guided pauses. Give your athlete space to try, think, and explain.

Your six-week journey

Understand the why.

Built around Coach Mulenga’s principles: decision first, then touch; technique wins; stabilize before mobilize; and athlete ownership.

  1. 01

    See development clearly.

Set a shared goal and recognize progress beyond goals, wins, and selection.

  2. 02

    First touch with purpose.

Connect receiving the ball to space, pressure, and the next action.

  3. 03

    Balance. Control. Protect.

Explore body control and ball protection without assuming every challenge is about size.

  4. 04

    Technique wins.

Understand the details behind accurate passing and purposeful ball striking.

  5. 05

    Make decisions. Build confidence.

Allow thinking time and learn how to respond constructively to mistakes.

  6. 06

    Take it into the game.

Review progress, connect the learning to club training, and create your family’s next steps.

Before you begin

Your questions.

Will this conflict with club coaching?

We help you understand training and ask more informed questions. Bring what your athlete is learning at their club. Where instructions seem different, clarify the context with their coach. During games, encourage your child and leave tactical direction to the team coach.

Do I need to be fit or know soccer?

No. Join selected activities or observe with clear things to look for. Physical participation is optional.

What will we do at home?

Revisit one simple activity for about 5–10 minutes twice a week, using one agreed cue and a question your child can answer. The aim is understanding and connection, with room for the athlete to take ownership.

What should we bring?

Water, comfortable clothing, suitable indoor footwear, and a ball if available. Review your confirmed session details before arriving.

When can we register?

The first course dates are being finalized. Contact EdHope about Learn Together and your athlete’s age. Once registration opens, you will choose and book your group through TeamUp.
